(ASTM B411); RWMA Class 3
Material properties
Innovative, beryllium-free, high-strength copper alloy with an ideal combination of properties such as high thermal conductivity, hardness and wear resistance, supplied in hardened condition, beryllium-free alternative to CuBe2 or ALBROMET-W130
Application examples
Injection molds, blow molds, hot runner systems, plastic mold construction,
Molded parts for non-ferrous metal die casting, injection nozzles, valve guides, valve seats, piston rings, oil & gas industry, electrode holders, welding equipment, welding electrodes, guide rails, slide elements in temperature-stressed areas
Processing
When hardened, good machinability with carbide tools. Resistance welding good, limited spark erosion possible (due to the high conductivity, higher electrode erosion than with steel)
