Standards/specification
not standardized
(DIN EN 12163, DIN EN 12164, DIN EN 12420)
(DIN EN 1982)
~ C62500 (ASTM B505)
Material properties
Very high compressive strength and mechanical wear resistance, very good sliding properties, not suitable for impact and shock loads, low nickel content
Application examples
Guides against hardened steel, dies, rollers and tools for sheet metal forming, in particular also stainless steel grades, tools for bending, embossing, profiling and deep drawing of sheets and tubes, expanding tools
Processing
Mechanical processing only with carbide tools, very good polishability, limited weldability
